Cow Riding in Guam

Hey y'all!! Things here are well, though I am missing my stereo. We've only been here 3 weeks and have probably seen just about every little part of this island. We've drove around this island completely at least 3 or 4 times. It's extremely small and is surrounded by beautifully warm, crystal clean water. My dad said that we would learn to scuba dive while we were here. (I really hope that I can get my license while I'm here too.) Well on one of the trips around the island we stopped at some old fort that was used during Pearl Harbor. There was a local there with a cow, caraboo, bull, or something. He told all of the tourists here to take a picture with it. After everyone was done taking pictures he asked if anyone wanted to ride it. Well of course my family is a bunch of chickens because I was the only one to ride it. It was really fun though it didn't go very fast. While I was on it my parents kept taking pictures of mine and the cow's butts. (I thought it was quite rude.) It was amazingly fun.

For 4th of July we went down to Navy where everybody and the brothers were, because the entire island was invited. We watched a spectacular fireworks show and many local bands performed. The biggest performance of the night was Bad Company. I personally thought they were good but my parents thought they sucked. Plus, the lead singer kept calling it July 4th. He joked about feeling all out of place by saying "I feel really wierd being British and here because I'm here helping you celebrate the day you kicked our butts". It was kinda a location joke but it was cool.

Hawaii, Week 1

Hey guys (and girls)!! My first week in Hawaii was amazing. My family and I climbed Diamond Head all the way to the very top. It took us about two hours with all the stops for water and pictures added in. It was hot at the bottom of the crater but at the top it was beautiful and the wind was blowing strong. After we climbed Diamond Head we went in our convertible around the entire island (making a few stops on the way). It ended up taking us the the rest of the day. It was very beautiful and as we were passing the mountains a part of one looked like King Kong. It was really neat. Later that week we visited Pearl Harbor, Waikiki Beach, went on a submarine ride, and visited a Polynesian Cultural Center. We learned a lot at the cultural center and Pearl Harbor was something I will never ever forget!! The first week in Hawaii was the best. Of course I also missed all of my friends and family (wish I could be there). It's been amazing.

My second week in Hawaii was good but not as good as the first week. The second week in Hawaii, my brother and I went bowling, read, went to the shoppette and walked around the whole base. It was really boring. We didn't really have internet service and sitting in front of the TV was boring and reading made me tired. Of course all days we planned to go to the pool it was either raining or it was closed. This week was also a remarkable one because we went to Wal-Mart for the last time for 2 full years. (How will we live?)
